Excellent food and good service, went there twice during our short stay in Williamstown

Very good food and service

Every dish was so delicious, I want to come back tomorrow for another meal! Food was perfectly cooked, and expertly seasoned. The restaurant is rightly busy, so be patient waiting to be served. It is well worth the wait!

Good food. Make sure to try the ravioli.

It wasn't our 1st choice but it was nice outdoor place. Ran out of lamb on Saturday night which was odd. Had many other choices.

It can get crowded very easily and the food is not great

Owner is very cheap over charging for everything. Served moldy outdated tiramisu. Other foods don't seem fresh.food tastes premade and frozen. Chef in kitchen had a temper tantrum in kitchen banging pans and other things around while yelling at staff not a good environment. Don't go there. Owner is very rude.

Attractive Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern dishes to satisfy most whims, we really had a good late lunch. Unlike the owner, the waitstaff was very friendly, patient, and forthcoming with our extra-menu requests (e.g. Turkish coffee). We would certainly repeat this place on our next visit to northwestermost Williamstown, MA.

Food is delicious! Staff is friendly.

Falafel had the consistency of an overbaked cookie. Chicken tagine nicely spiced but served lukewarm. Overly sugared drinks.....even when we requested "Not too sweet."

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be my favorite spot in Williamstown. Stopped in today for lunch and the service was horrendous. We waited 20 min for the server to take our order and another 45 for the food to come out. And it came out in prolonged stages - bread fist, 15 min later soup, 15 min later entree. A group next to us came later, ordered , finished their meal and left before we even Saw the $3.50 bread appear. . It wasn’t even busy- there were only 3 parties outside and two inside. We actually watched two parties be seated outside, be given water and menus then when no one came back to take their orders for15 min they both just left!! Then, our waitress wouldn’t just let us eat in peace when the food finally arrived but rather interrupted our meal 6 or 7 times to apologize. This place used to be fantastic with a personable , involved owner - maybe he’s too busy with his new place but he at least needs to hire compétant managerial and wait staff. I won’t be coming back anytime soon....

Sadly, our visit last night will not be repeated anytime soon. It took nearly a half hour to receive our salads, which were extraordinarily overpriced. My $12 "Lebanese salad" contained the white cores of Romaine lettuce leaves with almost nothing green, some dry pita crisps and onion bits with a wisp of (maybe) a light splash of vinegar. Our bill was reduced because of the long wait by an apologetic waitperson but overall, we paid $40 for $3 worth of food that took far too long to arrive.

Pera has the most delicious, healthful food in all of Williamstown. In fact the food is scrumptious! We love the Mediterranean sampler. It comes with warm pita, homemade hummus, falafel, tabouli, and a delicious flaky pastry. The beer and wine selection is wonderful with many beers available on tap. Even the water served with fresh slices of cucumber and lemon is so refreshing! I highly recommend Pera for a nice romantic dinner, or a healthful delicious lunch.

Kitchen staff is really nice food is amazing

This is hands down the worst restaurant that I’ve ever been to. They are so stingy here and charge you for every little thing. I came in with my husband for lunch. I originally ordered the beat salad and asked if I could add half chicken & half falafel on it and she said, “no probably not. I thought that was a little weird... how hard would it be to do that. So then, we both ordered hummus with pita bread for an app, the chicken wrap for our meal and my husband got a side of rice. I asked if I could get the beet salad as my side salad and she said, yes they can make any regular size salad as a side salad. I said ok that sounds great. About 10 minutes later we hear the chef yelling at her in the back saying he can’t do a beet salad as a side, only full. So she comes out and lies to my face saying, “the chef hasn’t had a chance to put the beets on the grill yet today so we won’t be able to do the beet salad as a side salad. I said, Ok could get some falafel on my side salad, knowing it would be an up charge. We were literally the only people in the entire restaurant and waited about 15 min just for the hummus. She brings it out with 4 tiny triangles of pita bread to split between the 2 of us. I’m thinking to myself... seriously how are we supposed to eat this. Then our meals finally come out and they’re tiny, and she says the falafel is coming out the chef is still making it (which I wanted ON my salad, so what’s the point.... but whatever, I said okay). She asked us if we wanted more bread for our hummus (since we had like half a plate left because we could only eat like 2 bites of it with the tiny piece of bread she gave us) and we said yes. We ate our meals in about 2 minutes because it wasn’t even enough food to fill up a 5 year old (and the chicken on the wrap was dry and about the size of my pinky, the “side salad” was like 10 pieces of mixed greens) and then she brings the “falafel” out to me after I finish my meal and it’s literally one tiny little falafel patty a little bigger than a quarter (it tasted awful like it was a frozen pre packaged thing they heated up in the microwave). Then after we’re done with our meal and sitting there waiting and she’s already cleared our plates she finally brings the “extra pita bread” at the same time she’s bringing out the check and says “did you still want this?”. We said yes because we were literally starving and again it was just 4 tiny triangles of pita bread. We look at our check and she charged us $4.00 for the TINY falafel patty and $1.50 FOR THE EXTRA BREAD WHICH WAS 1 PIECE OF PITA BREAD. My husband flagged the waitress over and said, we didn’t realize we were getting charged for this extra bread, we thought it just came with the hummus that we’re already paying $8 for??? And she looked at us with this shocked look on her face and was like “Yeah he charges for everything”. So our lunch came to almost $50 and we left hungry. Don’t ever come here... the service sucks, the food sucks and the prices are ridiculous.

Excellent food and service in a warm and welcoming environment. Everything was fresh and flavorful. A truly enjoyable dining experience.

The lamb burger was the best burger I've had

We literally had a perfect New Year’s Eve dinner at Pera! The food (and presentation) was outstanding and the service was truly top notch!! Combined with the cozy atmosphere and the personal greetings from the owner- it all made for a perfect evening out in Williamstown!

Food is always excellent at Pera. Mediterranean Scrod was perfectly cooked. Service is attentive and friendly. Great place for an early afternoon lunch.

Went to lunch with a long time friend. Great place to dine for conversation. They serve very enjoyable classic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean fare. We ordered the Pera Sampler to share and it was delicious and beautifully prepared. Lamb kabob was very good too. Great place.

I am sad to say the new chef is not doing a good job. We were terribly disappointed in one of our favorite Williamstown restaurants. This is the first restaurant review I have ever given but I felt I had to say something about a place we have always counted on ... But tonight the food was very disappointing.

Shrimp Al Diavolo is exquisite, rivaled only by the service. Restaurant itself (building) is clean, but needs updating.

Great restaurant willing to go above and beyond. We enjoyed an appetizer of stuffed grape leaves and ordered the lamb kabob wrap for myself, lamb kabob dinner for my wife, and my son ordered the chicken kabob wrap. Everything was delicious. But what really made them stand out was their willingness to accommodate my son's Celiac. Before we placed our orders the waitress was honest with us regarding their use of flour in the kitchen. She then proceeded to work with the chef to see if they could prepare something for my son. We did not press or ask her to do this. She did this on her own. We know preparing a gluten free dinner for someone with Celiacs can be difficult. Especially if the restaurant isn't geared towards this. The last thing we wanted to do was be a thorn in their side. But both our waitress and the chef worked to prepare, not only a safe gluten free meal, but one that was also delicious. We were so grateful. That made our night!

What a Saturday night disaster!! Our experience last night with the owner left us disappointed, frustrated and hungry!!! We had called ahead and alerted the restaurant that we would be a few minutes late for our 6:00pm reservation. Upon our arrival, we learned along with another party of 5 that our table was given away. The owner apologized and told is that somehow things got confused. The owner asked if we would be ok to dine at his new Italian restaurant Casalina. He provided explicit directions and would alert them to have a table ready and no problem to make our 8:00pm show. We got seated immeadiaty, the waitress understood we were in a rush and we quickly placed our order. It was downhill from there. Two bowls of fried chick- peas, 15 minutes to get wine... we patiently waited for our food. At 7:15 our waitress told us 3 more minutes. At 7:35 the waitress told us it was another 20 minutes. Sorry... not much she could do and the food wasn't coming. I went to find the owner and he couldn't be found! Clearly, No supervision or communication. The hostess and waitress felt terrible. Powerless ! We got up and left! NO food, NO apology, NO manager! I've never written a review like this... what a true disappointment, unacceptable, misleading and the lack of leadership and customer service offered was just BAD! Do better, be honest, don't over promise and support your team!

Great food, exceptional service.

Starters and entrees were great. Baba ganoush, watermelon feta salad, mussels, kabobs, and lamb Bolognese were all good. Skip the oil and herbs for bread dipping -- way too bitter. Don't bother with dessert either -- the tiramisu barely had any espresso/liquor in it. Couldn't taste a thing. Lemon marscipone cake tasted like a breakfast muffin. Sangria was worthy of a second glass. They put early customers too close to the kitchen-- lots of artillery chef shouting out of orders being ready.
